about the author
From writing short stories at school, to moody teenage poetry, to making up elaborate bedtime tales for her children, Bonita has always had an overactive imagination.
As a child born in the 1970’s, Bonita dreamt of three things – writing a book (in the hope of becoming the next Roald Dahl), dating a pop star (ideally Morten Harket from A-ha) and being a perfect size 10 forever (no matter how much chocolate she ate).
None of these went entirely to plan.
Becoming disabled in her forties was certainly a twist in her storyline. Faced with a different pace of life, Bonita decided to dust off her distant childhood dream and start writing. She dived headfirst into a scary blank Word document, armed with nothing more than strong pain killers and a large bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk.
Approaching her half century, Bonita has finally achieved one of her three childhood dreams. Writing her first book.
